Cruiser Aurora will return this summer (2016)

The legendary cruiser Aurora, one of the St.Petersburg symbols, which has been under complete restoration since 2014, will return to its docking place near Nakhimov Naval School this summer. You will have a rare chance to see cruiser Aurora sailing on the Neva river. The on-board museum devoted to the history of the Russian Navy is being updated to be turned into an interactive multimedia exhibition.

Tomorrow, on February 3, 2016 the Faberge Museum in St.Petersburg will open an exhibition of Frida Kahlo, the world-famous Mexican artist known for her self-portraits. This is the first exhibition of her works in Russia.

Today the 4th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, devoted to the 70th anniversary of UNESCO closed in St. Petersburg. It gathered more than 10,000 participants from 68 countries at 82 venues in the city. The event was attended by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Director-General of UNESCO Mrs. Irina Bokova, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, as well as other dignitaries and artists. The total number of events within the framework of the Forum exceeded 250.
