Upon in St.Petersburg, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will have welcome dinner.
October 24, 2012
You will begin this day with the city tour during which you will see Nevsky Prospect, the Square of Fine Arts, St.Isaac’s Square and visit St.Isaac’s Cathedral, famous for its stunning interiors. You will have an early dinner in the Sadko restaurant near the Mariinsky Theatre. The restaurant is decorated in the Russian folk style and has photographs and autographs of famous dancers and musicians. After dinner you will listen to Boris Godunov by Mussorgsky in the Mariinsky Theatre.

In the morning you will go to the Hermitage Museum, one of the world largest art museums. After an independent lunch you will have the backstage tour of one of the Imperial theatres of St.Petersburg, during which you will learn about the history of the building and the specific features of Russian ballet stages. Then you will visit Rimsky-Korsakov Apartment-Museum, containing over 250 personal items of the composer. At the end of the tour you will listen to recordings by Chaliapin.

In the morning you will go outside St.Petersburg to Tsarskoe Selo (the town of Pushkin) and visit Catherine’s Palace where you will see the opulent Gold Rooms and the Amber Room, the 8th wonder of the world. The tour will be followed by lunch in the traditional Russian restaurant Podvorje. In the evening you will listen to Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky in the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
You will be transferred to the airport.
