CONCERT TOUR TO ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

The Imperial Male Voice Choir has been one of the leading amateur Male Voice choirs in London and the South East almost since its inception in the late 1970s. The choir originated as an octet formed from members of the chorus of Imperial College Operatic Society and gave its first public performance in 1978. For most of its 35 year existence Imperial has been under the baton of the inspirational conductor and vocal coach, Deborah Miles-Johnson.

The library of music spans the years and the secular and religious genres to encompass medieval British and European music, folk songs from many countries, grand opera choruses and extracts from musical theatre and films.

In October 2013 Imperial is coming on a concert tour to St.Petersburg, Russia. We invite you to listen to their performance on October 27 at 6:00 pm in St.Mary’s Church (B.Konushennaya, 8a). Imperial with sing together with the VIVAT male ensemble from St.Petersburg. Free entrance.

AFFIES GIRLS CHOIR: CONCERT IN TALLINN ON JULY 1

AFFIES GIRLS CHOIR from Afrikaans School for Girls (South Africa) will complete their concert tour to Russia and St.Petersburg on May 30 and will continue to Estonia. While in Tallinn, the girls will have the walking tour of Tallinn and spend a day in Estonian countryside, visiting manor houses and fishing villages. On July 1 at 7:00 pm the girls will perform in the Russian Cultural Centre in Tallinn (Mere pst, 5). We are happy to invite you to this concert which is free for everyone.

AFFIES GIRLS CHOIR WON NORTHERN BELCANTO COMPETITION

Today AFFIES GIRLS CHOIR from Afrikaans School for Girls (South Africa) gloriously won the 3rd International Choral Festival and Competition “Northern Belcanto” in both categories they participated: Children’s Choirs and Folk Music. Besides, the jury also awarded the girls with the Grand Prix of the Competition, which crowned their concert tour to St.Petersburg and Russia.

AFFIES GIRLS CHOIR from Afrikaans School for Girls (South Africa) will perform in St.Peter and Paul’s Lutheran Cathedral (Nevsky, 22-24) on June 29 at 7:00 pm as part of their concert tour to Russia and St.Petersburg. They will sing Gloria Festiva by Emily Crocker, Dirait-on by Morten Lauridsen, Some Nights from the repertoire of Fun and African Medley. Conductor – Michael Barrett, accompanist – Gisela Scriba.

AFFIES GIRLS CHOIR from Afrikaans School for Girls (South Africa) will begin their concert tour to Russia on June 26, 2013. The choir has won many national and international competitions since its foundation in 1984. The choir specializes in South African music, both composed and traditional, as well as music from Europe and the Americas.

During their tour to St.Petersburg they will take part in the 3rd International Choral Festival and Competition “Northern Belcanto”. We invite you to listen to their performance on June 27 at 4:00 pm in St.Catherine’s Church (M.Konushennaya, 3).

American University Chamber Singers have successfully completed their concert tour to Russia. In Yekaterinburg they had a joint concert with B-A-C-H chamber orchestra and performed Gloria by Vivaldi and Dixit Dominus by Handel divinely, according to the comments of the audience and critics.
