Joint concert tour to St. Petersburg and Moscow

Joint concerts with local choirs will give you a unique opportunity to meet Russians face to face, make new friends and to gain life changing experience. During the tour you will see the highlights of the two capitals of Russia.

Day 1 ST PETERSBURG

Upon arrival in St.Petersburg, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and dinner.

Day 2 ST PETERSBURG

You will start this day with a tour of Peter and Paul Fortress, the birthplace of the city, founded by Peter the Great in May 1703. You will visit the beautiful baroque Cathedral of St.Peter-and-Paul, the burial place of the Russian Emperors from Peter the Great to Nicholas II. After lunch in a local restaurant you will visit St.Isaac’s Cathedral, the former main Cathedral of Russia, world famous for its stunning interiors, and the Naval Cathedral of St. Nicholas, built in the middle of the 18th century by the Russian Empress Elizabeth II. After that you will be transferred to the Troitsky Cultural Center for rehearsal and joint concert with one of the Center’s choirs.

Day 3 ST PETERSBURG

In the morning you will depart for Peterhof, an official royal summer residence founded by Peter the Great in 1704 and meant to beat Versailles. You will walk in the famous Lower Garden, the elaborate grounds featuring over 150 fountains, among which you will see the breathtaking Great Cascade, the largest fountain ensemble in the world. Upon return to the city, you will have lunch in a local restaurant and proceed to the Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s greatest art museums, where you will see the Winter Palace and the highlights of Western European collection.

Day 4 ST PETERSBURG – MOSCOW

This morning you will be transferred to the train station and take the Express Sapsan train to Moscow. In four hours you will arrive in Moscow and will be taken to your hotel.

Day 5 MOSCOW

After breakfast you will have a walking tour of the Kremlin grounds, where you will see the famous cathedrals of the Assumption, Archangel and Annunciation, Ivan the Great Bell Tower, Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon and visit one of the cathedrals. Then you will walk through Alexander Park and find yourselves in the Red Square, the heart of Moscow, renowned as a showcase for military parades, celebrations, festivals and concerts. You will see Lenin’s Mausoleum, the famous GUM department store and St.Basil’s Cathedral. You will have lunch in Canteen # 57 in the GUM, stylized as the Soviet Period canteen. It’s like back in the USSR!

Day 6 MOSCOW

You will start this day with the city tour of Moscow; you will drive along Tverskaya Street, the main street of the city, and along the embankments of the Moscow River, you will see the impressive Kremlin walls and the golden domes of its cathedrals; Moscow State University on top of the Sparrow Hills, from where you will get a fantastic view of the whole city; New Maiden’s (Novodevichy) Convent and the impressive monuments in the Victory Park. After lunch in a local restaurant you will have you will have a guided tour of the world famous Moscow Metro with its stations richly decorated with sculptures, frescos and mosaics. Then you will go to the Mayak cultural center for rehearsal and joint concert with one of the Center’s choirs.

Day 7 MOSCOW

This day you will say good-bye to Russia and depart home.
