Concert tour to St. Petersburg and Novgorod

Performing in Novgorod the Great, the oldest Russian city, not only in St.Petersburg, will give you an insight into provincial life in Russia and will allow you to see medieval Russian architecture.

DAY 1 ST PETERSBURG

Upon arrival at St.Petersburg, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and dinner.

DAY 2 ST PETERSBURG

After breakfast in the hotel you will have a guided city tour, during which you will see the main landmarks of St.Petersburg, such as Peter and Paul Fortress, St.Isaac’s Cathedral, Church in the Spilled Blood, Palace Square, Nevsky Prospekt and visit the lavishly decorated Kazan Cathedral. After an independent lunch in the city centre you will have a guided tour of the Hermitage Museum, which houses perhaps the most fabulous collection of painting and applied arts in the world. You will see the stunning State Rooms of the Winter Palace and highlights of Western European fine arts collection.

DAY 3 ST PETERSBURG

After breakfast you will have free time to explore the city on your own. In the afternoon you will go to the concert venue of your choice where you will have a rehearsal followed by an evening concert.

DAY 4 ST PETERSBURG

You will start this morning with a guided tour of Rimsky-Korsakov Apartment-Museum, where he wrote 11 of 15 operas, followed by a visit to Alexander Nevsky Lavra Necropolis, where Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky, Borodin, Glinka and other famous Russian composers are buried.

DAY 5 NOVGOROD THE GREAT

Early in the morning you will depart by coach (ca. 4 hours) for Novgorod the Great, founded in the 10th century and extremely rich in native art treasures and monuments. Upon arrival you will have a city tour including the walking tour of the ancient Kremlin, where you will see the Sofia Cathedral, the oldest Russian Orthodox church in Russia and one of the finest examples of early Russian architecture. You will have an afternoon rehearsal and an evening concert in the venue of your choice. After the concert you will depart for St.Petersburg.

DAY 6 ST PETERSBURG

This day you will say good-bye to St.Petersburg and will be transferred to the airport.
